Our Beliefs
Statement of Faith
1. The Bible
We believe that the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21). It is the final standard for all matters of faith and life.
2. God
We believe in one God, who exists eternally in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14).
3. Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully God and fully man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, performed miracles, died on the cross for our sins, was buried, rose again on the third day, and ascended into heaven. He will return in glory and power (John 1:1, 14; Luke 1:26-35; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Acts 1:9-11).
4. The Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity. He convicts the world of sin, regenerates and indwells believers, and empowers them for holy living and service (John 16:7-11; Titus 3:5; Acts 1:8).
5. Humanity and Sin
We believe that all people are created in the image of God but have sinned and fallen short of His glory (Genesis 1:27; Romans 3:23). Because of sin, humanity is separated from God and in need of salvation.
6. Salvation
We believe that salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone. It is not earned by works but is a gift from God. Those who repent and believe in Christ are justified, forgiven, and adopted as children of God (Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 10:9-10; John 3:16).
7. The Church
We believe that the Church is the body of Christ, composed of all true believers. The Church exists to worship God, proclaim the Gospel, make disciples, and serve others in love (Matthew 28:19-20; Ephesians 1:22-23; Hebrews 10:25).
8. The Second Coming of Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ will return personally, visibly, and gloriously to judge the living and the dead and to establish His eternal kingdom (Matthew 24:30; Acts 1:11; Revelation 22:12-13).
9. Resurrection and Eternal Life
We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead: the righteous to eternal life with God, and the unrighteous to eternal separation from Him (John 5:28-29; Revelation 20:11-15).
10. The Great Commission
We believe that every believer is called to share the Gospel and make disciples of all nations, teaching them to obey Christ’s commands (Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 1:8).
11. Baptism
We believe that baptism is an ordinance of the Church, commanded by Jesus, to be administered to believers as a public profession of faith and identification with His death, burial, and resurrection.
Scripture: Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:38; Romans 6:3-4
12. Communion (The Lord’s Supper)
We believe that Communion is an ordinance instituted by Jesus Christ for all believers, serving as a memorial of His sacrifice and a proclamation of His death until He returns. The bread symbolizes His body, and the cup symbolizes His blood of the New Covenant.
Scripture: Luke 22:19-20; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26
